Decoding a request path or URL using `decodeURIComponent` can introduce a path confusion vulnerability. `decodeURIComponent` decodes percent-encoded slashes (`%2F`) into literal slashes (`/`), whereas most application routers use `decodeURI`, which leaves them encoded.
